Inside Business - Medina
Main Street Cupcakes opened a location near the square at 102 W. Washington St. in June. Sarah Forrer, who co-owns the bakery with her sister Kimberly Martin, picked Medina for their third store because
they liked the community and already had an established customer base there.
“We wanted a family-centric area,” Forrer says “We wanted a growing community.”
The cupcake-only bakery company started more than four years ago in Hudson and opened a Rocky River location last year. They have more than 230 flavors of cupcakes but make about 15 to 20 different flavors daily. The new location also offers a space to host birthday parties.
“We always wanted to host birthday parties, but the Rocky River and Hudson spaces weren't conducive to supporting long lines with waiting customers and partygoers at the same time,” Forrer says. “Our new Medina location has an upstairs loft, which is just perfect for small birthday gatherings.”
